High in the mountains of Tibet lives a monk the children call Norbu, The Laughing Monk.
For many years people have sent the names of loved ones who are suffering.
These names are placed in prayer at the monastery.
Some seek healing.
Some seek strength.
Some simply wish to know someone, somewhere… is holding compassion for them.
Each name is held with quiet kindness.
When you send a name, it is written carefully and placed in prayer by the monks. There is no charge, no requirement, only the wish that those who suffer feel less alone.
In the monastery, time moves slowly. Candles burn, bells sound softly, and your request is included in this rhythm of prayer.
